Ileje DC Mbeya organized reduce poverty and promote economic growth by establishing power generation projects and to establish radio and television stations .
Presenting reports of the strategy to reduce poverty head of the Department of Lands, Natural Resources and Environment Ileje , Joseph Burn told council Ileje councilors that the council is organized to achieve the objectives of national businesses and organizations in TANESCO electricity .
He said that in fulfilling that mission had succeeded in getting copyright hydroelectric area where there is flowing water falls can provide enough electricity for the residents of the district and to be sold to the grid.
Burn said that they had to get permission from TANESCO to introduce the company and licensed from EWURA to request funding from REA who have done it and the international organization of rural electricity supply GVEP in Nairobi .
He said that the council adds various efforts to find donors who will help in completing the project that is estimated to start generating electricity from eight very unclear and ten to be lacking in the original building .
For its part the district commissioner said that Rosemary Senyamule electric project on completion will have tremendous impact on economic growth of the district, including the whole nation that will be sold out of the district.
He said that the money needed to achieve the User USD 3.76 is equivalent to Tsh Tsh bil . 6.2 and that the contribution of stakeholders that are equivalent to USD 5.90 Tsh bil.9.8 .
He added that the ministry of merging rural electric generation green ESME grant USD mil . 1.14 , which is equivalent to TZS 1.08 Bil connection TEDAP equity grant equivalent to Tsh USD 2.01 bil . 3.3 , and that total is USD mil.12.18 equivalent to Tsh 21.3 billion .
" This cost is so large stakeholders are a great help in order to achieve the goal of becoming electricity that comes from Ileje that is completed will be affordable for people with incomes will increase more than I am now " the chief said .

HALMASHAURI ya wilaya ya Ileje mkoani Mbeya imejipanga kupunguza umaskini na kukuza uchumi kwa kuanzisha miradi ya kuzalisha umeme na kuanzisha vituo vya radio na television.
Akiwasilisha taarifa ya mkakati huo wa kupunguza umaskini mkuu wa Idara ya Ardhi, Maliasili na Mazingira wa Ileje, Joseph Mchome aliliambia baraza la Madiwani wa Ileje kuwa halmashauri imejipanga kufikia malengo ya kufanyabiashara na shirika la taifa la umeme nchini TANESCO.
Alisema kuwa katika kutimiza dhamira hiyo wamefanikiwa kupata hati miliki ya eneo la kuzalisha umeme ambapo kuna maporomoko wa maji yanayo weza kutoa umeme wa kutosha kwa wakazi wa wilaya hiyo na kuweza kuuzwa kwa gridi ya taifa.
Mchome alisema kuwa wamekwisha kupata kibali kutoka TANESCO cha kuanzisha kampuni na leseni toka EWURA ya kuomba ufadhili toka REA ambao wamewaunganisha na shirika la kimataifa la kusambaza umeme vijijini GVEP lililopo Nairobi.
Alisema kuwa halmashauri inaongeza jitihada za kutafuta wafadhili mbalimbali watakaowasaidia katika kukamilisha mradi huo ambao unakadiriwa kuanza kuzalisha umeme kuanzia mwazi nane na kumi kwa kuwa upo katika ujenzi wa awali.
Kwa upande wake mkuu wa wilaya Rosemary Senyamule alisema kuwa mradi huo wa umeme utakapokamilika utakuwa na manufaa makubwa katika kukuza uchumi wa wilaya hiyo ikiwa ni pamoja na taifa zima kwa kuwa utauzwa nje ya wilaya hiyo.
Alisema kuwa katika kuweza kufanikisha hilo zinahitajika fedha za kimarekani USD 3.76 ni sawa na shilingi za kitanzania Tsh bil. 6.2 na kuwa mchango wa wadau USD 5.90 ambazo sawa na Tsh bil.9.8.
Aliongeza kuwa huduma ya kuunganisha umeme vijijini ESME green generation grant USD mil. 1.14 ambazo ni sawa na shilingi za kitanzania Bil 1.08 TEDAP connection grant equity USD 2.01 sawa na Tsh bil. 3.3, na kuwa jumla ni USD mil.12.18 sawa na Tsh bilioni 21.3.
"Gharama hii ni kubwa hivyo wadau mbalimbali wanaobwa kutusaidia ili kuweza kufanikisha lengo la kuwa na umeme unaotoka Ileje ambao ukikamilika utakuwa ni nafuu kwa wananchi na kipato kitaongezeka zaidi kuliko nilivyo kwa sasa" alisema mkuu huyo.
