Citizens living in remote villages of Lake Nyasa have urged the government to quickly solve the issue of shipping in order to solve the challenges faced to boost their output and the nation as a whole.Have made such statements were talking to this blog in various areas including Tema, Lumbila , Ifungu , we , Lupingu , Manda , grassland and Lundu .Other villages and with the attorney , Jambe , Liuli and Mbambabay that despite having the opportunity to cultivate and fishing are not sure of selling their products due to the lack of a definite ship from existing ships namely MV MV Iringa and Songea wears out .These people have said that about three weeks the ship has not made the job due to impaired thereby bringing various impediments to patients who are transported through these channels in order to be treated Kyela District Hospital or Referral Mbeya.For his part captain of the ship of the MV Songea Thom Faya has acknowledged the existence of poor ships and urge the government to make haste to bring another ship to remove the persecution of repair constant which consume a lot of money and sometimes drove to neighboring Malawi for cherezo absence .In addition Faya has said that due to the poor conditions of constant fear rising passenger ships and passengers forced to have so few losses to the organization and failure to meet operating costs.So he asked the government to fulfill its promise to President Jakaya Kikwete when he promised to bring new ships to remove impediments facing pressure to bring development to the coastal residents of Lake Malawi and the point where the only way to recline ship.Recently the secretary general of Chama Cha Mapinduzi [ CCM ] Abrahamani Kinana made ​​a visit to see for himself the persecution they suffered the country who live along Lake Malawi where he had to travel by ship MV Songea from the port of Mbamba bay existing district Nyasa Ruvuma through the region Njombe to port the Itungi Kyela district in Mbeya region and pledged their request deliver it in government as it is the enforcement of the Election Manifesto of the Revolutionary Party .

Wananchi wanaoishi  vijiji vya pembezoni mwa ziwa Nyasa wameiomba serikali kutatua haraka suala la usafiri wa meli ili kutatua changamoto zinazowakabili ili kukuza pato lao na Taifa kwa ujumla.

Kauli hiyo wameitoa walipozung Blog hii katika maeneo mbalimbali ikiwa ni pamoja na Matema, Lumbila, Ifungu, Nsisi, Lupingu, Manda, Ndambi na Lundu.

Vijiji vingine na pamoja na Nkili,Njambe,Liuli na Mbambabay ambavyo licha ya kuwa na fursa ya kulima na kuvua hawana uhakika wa kuuza bidhaa zao kutokana na ukosefu wa meli ya uhakika kutokana na meli zilizopo  yaani MV Iringa na MV Songea kuchakaa.

Wananchi hao wamesema kuwa takribani kwa majuma matatu meli hizo hazijafanya kazi kutokana na kuharibika hivyo kuleta kero kwa wagonjwa mbalimbali ambao husafirishwa kupitia njia hizo ili kwenda kutibiwa Hospitali ya Wilaya ya Kyela au Rufaa Mbeya.

Kwa upande wake Nahodha wa meli ya Mv Songea Thom Faya amekiri kuwepo kwa ubovu wa meli hizo na kuiomba serikali kufanya haraka kuleta meli nyingine ili kuondoa adha ya matengezo ya mara kwa mara ambayo hutumia fedha nyingi na wakati mwingine huwalazimu kwenda nchi jirani ya Malawi kutokana na kukosekana cherezo.

Aidha Faya amesema kuwa kutokana na ubovu wa mara kwa mara abiria wanahofu kupanda meli hizo na kulazimika kuwa na abiria wachache hivyo kupata hasara kwa shirika na kushindwa kumudu gharama za uendeshaji.

Hivyo ameiomba serikali kutimiza ahadi yake ya Rais Jakaya Kikwete ambapo aliahidi kuleta meli mpya ili kuondoa kero inayowakabili ili kuleta msukumo wa maendeleo kwa wakazi wa mwambao wa ziwa Nyasa ambapo njia pekee na uhakika huegemea meli.

Hivi karibuni Katibu mkuu wa Chama Cha Mapinduzi[CCM] Abrahamani Kinana alifanya ziara kujionea mwenyewe adha wanayopata wananchi wanaoishi pembezoni mwa ziwa Nyasa ambapo alilazimika kusafiri na meli ya MV Songea kutoka bandari ya Mbamba bay iliyopo wilaya ya Nyasa Mkoani Ruvuma kupitia Mkoa wa Njombe hadi bandari ya Itungi wilaya Kyela Mkoani Mbeya na kuahidi ombi lao kulifikisha serikalini kwani ndiyo watekelezaji wa Ilani ya Uchaguzi ya Chama Cha Mapinduzi.
